The Villa has 7 beautifully appointed luxury suite all with their own private decks and the Presidential Suite with its own private garden, swimming pool and deck area.

The Lodge boasts a number of magnificent inside and outside dining areas on decks overlooking the Gorge, fireside harvest tables, Bush Boma’s and for private dinners the wine cellar.

 Uniquely positioned overhanging decks with an infinity pool on the “edge” – a perfect way to enjoy a fully stocked bar and drink of choice while watching the sunset.

The definition of a Boma is a place used for social gatherings and story telling. Battle Creek boasts two magnificent Boma’s which offer true African style food and experience.

 

GAMES ROOM

Something for everyone – enjoy time out in the games room or spend time interacting with the family.  The games room has a television, DSTV, table tennis table, dart board and loads of board games.

A fully stocked bar situated in the main lodge boasts local and international beverages.  An amazing area to sit, relax and watch the sunset or enjoy a well-deserved drink after a successful day of hunting.

A hidden gem which can be utilized for private dinners, small meetings or organized wine tastings.  The Wine Cellar also offers the opportunity to browse and choose from an amazing selection of carefully chosen highly rated local wines

GAME FARM & HUNTING PACKAGES

Battle Creek Safari offers you safari hunting experiences with an array of hunting packages, boasting a variety of game to choose from. Hunting packages will be tailored and personalized to your requirements and scheduled around you and your families activities.

 

 

SHOOTING RANGE

Spend time on the shooting range getting your eye in or experience what it is like to fire a weapon in a controlled and safe environment. This range has been used to train security and bodyguard personnel.

 

 

CLAY PIGEON SHOOTING

Clay Pigeon Shooting also known as clay target shooting, and formally known as inanimate bird shooting, is the art of shooting a firearm at special flying targets, known as clay pigeons or clay targets.

 

 

ARCHERY RANGE

Archery is one of the oldest arts still practiced today.  Originally used for warefare, modern archery is a rewarding filled with tradition activity

 

 

BUSH EXPERIANCES

Enjoy a morning or afternoon at one of our picnic spots carefully selected in secluded areas on the farm.

CONSERVATION ACTIVITIES

The farm boasts one of the biggest K9 dog and handler training facilities.  Take time out to see the dogs at work as they are trained for detection and to combat poaching on the African continent. 

 The facility is the largest K9 training facility on the continent and specializes in training dogs for counter poaching activities throughout the world.

 

 

 

CONFERENCE AREA

The villa has its own private conference area which can hold up to 20 people for an executive breakaway.

 

 

 

SPA & STEAM ROOM

For those that want to indulge or partners that join a hunting group that want to relax, massages and a steam room are available on request.

HOT AIR BALLOON RIDES

Take to the skies and catch a glimpse of the Magaliesburg with a birds eyeview – an amazing and memorable activity for the whole family.

 

CRADLE OF MANKIND

The Cradle of Humankind, one of eight World Heritage Sites in South Africa, and the only one in Gauteng, is renowned as the place where humankind originated. It is one of the major tourist attractions in South Africa. The Cradle of Humankind area boasts 13 excavation sites that are recognised as national heritage sites both. For those wanting to experience the birthplace of humankind firsthand, the official visitor centres for the Cradle of Humankind,Maropeng and the Sterkfontein Caves, are within an easy hour’s drive from the lodge.

 

STERKFONTEIN CAVES

Within the Sterkfontein Caves, scientists have discovered many hominid and other animal fossils, dating back more than 4-million years, to the birth of humanity. The most important and most famous of these fossils are “Mrs Ples”, a 2.1-million-year-old Australopithecus skull, and “Little Foot”, an almost complete Australopithecus skeleton that is more than 3-million years old. These fossils, both found in the Sterkfontein Caves in the Cradle of Humankind, tell us much about the precursors of modern humans, Homo sapiens. An easy 1 hour drive from the lodge and an incredible family and authentic African experience.
